Pork shoulder is cut from the front leg of the hog. Pork shoulder is great for roasting, pulled pork, and most sausage makers utilize boneless pork shoulder for their sausage production.
Over the years, pork shoulder has picked up multiple names. To name a few, it is can also be called Pork Butt and Boston butt.
Note that the weight of the butt is bone-in weight. If interested in boneless pork butt (add an additional pound to the bone-in weight so you are taking into account the weight of the bone) and please make sure to request that the bone be removed in the "Add a note to your order" section while in your shopping cart!
